    Nearly everything that this class of shop tells you is ,in a very cakey sense, a lie. I have before / after pics of a jiffy lube filling oil with the wrong oil, and too much of it The next place didnt’ farethat well. Been doing changes myself ever since. A lot of AT flushes , injector cleaning and other magic bullets cause more problems than they solve. Unless your problem is how can I make more money providing placebo services to the driving public:)

    I hate mechanics. I’ve found great providers that I can trust in nearly every other area in my life but I have yet to find a good mechanic. My cousin, maybe, but he’s in Apache Junction and just does auto work on the side. Luckily, our late model vehicles have been heretofore reliable.
